Devin's Dress is a children's book written by kid author, Devin Hayden, under the Lucky Boots imprint. This is Devin's first book and it was written to help little ones learn that accidents happen, and it's okay. Her book also helps lower elementary students improve their literacy, connect parents and children through reading, and increase the positive representation of black girls in books and entertainment.

The book was written to have a fun and relatable feel, so I chose to create it visually to match, using simple shapes, vibrant colors, and quirky fonts. In addition, I created the main character in the author's image using the signature qualities like Devin's hair, skin, clothes, colors, and patterns, she (and many girls like her) would wear.
